The Difference

Lacrosse itself is a creative game.  Our camps are designed to provide a well-rounded experience for our campers leaving them excited and passionate about the game.  See below for a snapshot of what your camper will experience on a daily basis.

X’ and O’s are just one component of our lacrosse camps.  In order to educate campers about the roots of the game, we have intentionally selected past players who are able to provide inspirational stories unique to the sport of lacrosse.  We call these past players our WARRIORS!

Our staff is different.  We truly care about the overall development and well-being of each camper.  We are confident the variety of lacrosse related activities we offer will leave a lasting impression.  We look forward to sharing the joy of the sport with your child.

About us

Jason Wolensky
Founder & DefensiveCoach

Looking for a better way to connect the sport with young athletes, Coach Wolensky created Warrior Spirit.  Coach has been a middle school teacher for the past 15 years and truly enjoys working with young adolescents.  He has coached in numerous roles at the club, high school and college level.  His deep appreciation for the sport coupled with his years of experience in the classroom and on the field have given him a clear vision regarding how to incorporate character building with the sport of lacrosse.  He looks forward to seeing you on the field this June!
Best Lacrosse Memory:  “My Mom buying me my first stick.  It was an STX MX we purchased used from Play it Again Sports.”
Favorite Quote: “The toughest steal is forged in the hottest fire.”

Ben Walton
Offensive Coach

Coach Walton is the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Great Valley High School which is also his alma mater.  He is credited with being a founding member of the middle school lacrosse program at Great Valley as a student.  Upon graduation from Arizona State University, coach returned to GV middle to coach fro the next six seasons.  Coach expanded his resume by serving various high school programs as a varsity assistant before returning to take the helm of the Great Valley program.  Whether in the weight room or on the field, lacrosse is a true passion of Coach Walton’s.

Best Lacrosse Memory:  “Getting a brand new kevlar shaft as a kid. (Which broke the second time I used it).”

Favorite Quote:  “Don’t stop when your tired.  Stop When your done.”

Boost Skills.
  1. Progression drills:  We never do line drills and always teach the skill before competing in a live format.
  2. Smaller games with smaller nets:  Smaller field space + smaller teams = higher reps and more ball touches for everyone.
  3. Halftime Games:  Dodge ball, water balloon toss, target gallery   These are just some of the ways we keep camp fresh.
  4. Custom gifts:  Each camper will receive a locally crafted custom strung stick.  Plan on using during camp.
Build Character.
